Red Carpet Jewelry at the 2016 Grammy Awards

Jewelry at the 58th Grammys

Musicians are used to commanding center stage, and award-worthy looks are a must when they hit the red carpet. Fashion at the Grammys is truly spectacular, not only do you get fantastic red carpet looks, but the wardrobe changes for performances are always something to see. This year was all about big performances, big personalities and big sparkle. The biggest trends this year were big diamonds, subtle makeup and bare necks. Unlike the Golden Globes where statement necklaces stole the show, the Grammys featured glittering earrings and spectacular stacked rings and bracelets.

Fabulous Sparkle

There was no shortage of fantastic diamond drop earrings. Ariana Grande was absolutely stunning in a scarlet red Romona Keveza gown. With Niwaka earrings, rings and wide bracelet, Ariana was the picture of glamour. Country singer Cam’s vivid yellow feathery dress by Georges Chakra went perfectly with her lively blonde curls. She elevated the playful sophistication with eye-catching oval drop diamond earrings. Anna Kendrick chose Harry Kotlar diamond earrings, as well as a diamond ring and bracelet to accent her shimmering black Emanuel Ungaro gown.

Black & White Diamonds

Black diamonds are a big fashion trend, and one that stars like Janelle Monáe and Alessandra Ambrosio embraced wholeheartedly. True to her signature style, Janelle opted for a bold black and white dress from Jean Paul Gaultier’s Couture Collection. The balance of black and white even extended to her Pasquale Bruni Earrings and Carrera y Carrera and Levian Rings. Alessandra proved you don’t need to be a musician to be rock-star chic in an edgy Versace gown, sleek hair and smoky eyes. She paired ultra long and dangly earrings with Noudar black diamond finger rings to complete the look.

Timeless Classics

Diamond studs adorned the ears of stars from Ellie Goulding to Carrie Underwood, but it was Chrissy Teigen’s colossal 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamonds that stole the show. Chrissy glowed in her form fitting white Yousef Al-Jasmi gown and bejeweled cape. Selena Gomez sparkled in a sultry, midnight blue, sequined gown by Calvin Klein. Her loose flowing hair would have hidden smaller stud earrings, making the large diamond hoops by Norman Silverman an ideal choice. The night wouldn’t be complete without spectacular diamond rings. And what’s better than one ring? How about one for every finger? From Ariana Grande to Zendaya, Demi Lovato to Elle King, matching and stacking rings was a huge trend this year.
