1957 Breitling Navitimer AOPA [Sold]
This is a real tool watch from the era in which tool watches were born. Collaborating with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Breitling introduced the Navitimer, which was the ultimate Pilot’s watch for its era. Featuring a chronograph and slide-rule bezel, it was equipped to handle what a novice or professional pilot would need on a daily basis. Interestingly, the first examples didn’t actually show “Breitling” on the dial, simply the dual-winged logo of the AOPA. This example is one of those early watches with its original beaded bezel and Venus movement. The movement has been fully serviced and the watch is ready for many more flights in the future!
