Beautifully representing contemporary elegance, the F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu offers an uncluttered approach to high precision watchmaking. This was the first F.P. Journe model to be crafted in tantalum, a rare dark grey metal that displays cool blue overtones. Tantalum is an extremely strong and beautiful metal, but it is rarely seen in watchmaking because it is very difficult to manipulate with a melting point of over 3,000* Celsius.
The blue chrome dial perfectly complements the case with its lacquered composition creating a striking blue mirror appearance. The dial has been redesigned with the latest trends and features cream-colored hands with large Arabic numerals.
The Chronometre Bleu features a beautifully designed and decorated movement made almost entirely from 18k pink gold, a unique signature of the brand. In the classic configuration of precision watches, the manual-wind movement features twin barrels that work in parallel to deliver the watch’s 56 hour power reserve.
