1968 Rolex Day-Date [Sold]

With a rich history spanning nearly 70 years, the Rolex Day-Date has adorned the wrist of presidents, celebrities and captains of industry, becoming a symbol of success known throughout the world. With the market shifting towards larger watches in general, we still love the classic look and proportions of the 36mm version, especially with the added charm of the acrylic crystal and “pie pan” dial of the vintage Ref. 1803. Purchased new in 1968 and just fully serviced, this example includes its original boxes, tag, manual, certificate booklet and chronometre papers – very unusual to see for a watch that is 55 years old! There is some typical wear to the President bracelet due to age, but there is plenty of life and enjoyment remaining in this collector’s piece.
