1982 Rolex Submariner Date [Sold]

The Rolex Submariner Ref. 16800 is a transitional model – it retained the matte dial of the previous Ref. 1680 but added a sapphire crystal and a new movement with quick-set date. The original dial is in great condition with a light creamy patina. The hands and insert glow after UV exposure so they are likely later service replacements. The case has a few scratches and a ding at 9:00. All in, a great combination of vintage appeal and modern capability!
