1972 Rolex Explorer II [Sold]

The Rolex Explorer II Ref. 1655 is one of our favorite vintage Rolex models. The funky 70’s design really makes the watch stand out among its peers! This vintage example, dating to 1972, is among the earlier examples of the model. The “Mark 1” dial looks great with even patina across the hands and dial. There is some hand drag on the right side of the dial visible under magnification between the 3:00 and 6:00 markers. The 7386 folded-link Oyster bracelet does show some wear and includes a later “H” code clasp, and the bezel is a later service replacement. Sorry, no box or papers with this one.
