If you are into elaborate and romantic pieces, the Victorian period may just have the right pieces for you. The Victorian jewelry period was inspired by the royal life of Queen Victoria, from 1836-1901, and her love of her family. This translated into jewelry that had a very amorous and affectionate look, often inspired by nature and love. These pieces of jewelry had strong Victorian era craftsmanship, oftentimes including yellow gold, silver, and even sometimes human hair. Gemstones were extremely popular because of their affordability, but later in the period, diamonds were discovered and integrated into jewelry. Platinum was eventually introduced into this period of jewelry, but it was late in the Victorian era.*This gallery only represents a portion of our jewelry selection.
