The Ref. 5496 Retrograde Perpetual Calendar

From Patek Philippe’s Grand Complications collection, the Reference 5496P is brilliantly designed and masterfully engineered with a retrograde perpetual calendar. This timepiece is fitted with a 39.5mm platinum case which houses its automatic movement, a Patek Philippe Caliber 324 S QR, with a 45 hour power reserve. You can view the movement via the display case back, but it also includes an interchangeable back. This unique ability enables you to go from a full back to the display case back. The Ref. 5496 has a clean dial that houses indicators for the watch’s functions. Day, month and leap year indicators are coupled with a retrograde date ring to display information from the perpetual calendar. The dial also houses a moon phase indicator in the six o’clock position. The elegant look of this timepiece is completed with a hand-stitched brown alligator strap with a fold-over clasp. New for 2014, the Patek Philippe Ref. 5496 is now available with a honey brown dial and is sure to become a popular watch among Patek collectors.
